Consorcio Cítricos Dominicanos is born in 1986 with the objective of producing Valencia oranges. This is a high quality variety that offers excellent results for producing juice concentrate for local consumers and export.
The oranges are cultivated in the area of Cotuí (Cevicos), Villa Altagracia and La Cumbre where there are some 1,200,000 orange trees to be found. The oranges are submitted to a mechanical washing process and are rigorously screened to assure only the ones that comply with quality standards make it to the production line.
The juice is squeezed by machinery with no extreme product manipulation.
Two million oranges are processed daily at the Dominican Citrus Partnership which employs 500 people.
