Consorcio Cítricos Dominicanos was founded in 1986 with the objective of producing Valencia oranges. This high quality variety offers excellent results for producing juice concentrate for local consumers and export.
The oranges are cultivated in Cotuí (Cevicos), Villa Altagracia and La Cumbre with some 1,200,000 orange trees in total. The oranges are submitted to a mechanical washing process and are rigorously screened to assure that only those that comply with our stringent quality standards make it to the production line.
The juice is squeezed by machinery with minimal product manipulation.
Two million oranges are processed daily at the Dominican Citrus Partnership which employs 500 people.
